EyeCare Partners is currently seeking a Finance Intern to be a trusted member of the EyeCare Partners accounting and finance team. This internship will involve experience in implementing a procurement to pay SaaS system, adoption of ASC 842 Lease Accounting, as well as exposure to general ledger closing and financial reporting. The internship commences on June 8, 2020 and will go through August 31, 2020. Start and end dates are negotiable based on the intern’s availability. Weekly schedule during this time is expected to be approximately 40 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with vendor management and communications for adoption of procure to pay SaaS system
  • Assist with data gathering associated with system implementation for lease accounting and coordination with external legal consultants in compiling and organizing lease data for implementation
  • Assist with general ledger close tasks including accounting reconciliations and variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years completed towards Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Highly skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
