Medical Executive Board Project Manager – Job Description

Position Summary: As a MEB Project Manager you will be seen as an operational subject matter expert that will partner with the Ophthalmology Medical Executive Board to support growth and operational improvement projects as identified by the board.

This position is a catalyst in leading and establishing standardized processes, toolkits, and playbooks to support Ophthalmology divisional growth and operational maturity. You will use a data-driven approach to extract best practices and implement them across all of EyeCare Partners Ophthalmology practices in partnership with Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and operational leaders

This position will report to the MEB Program Manager.  This position will work closely with the Division President and Medical Officers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and implement Ophthalmology programs that drive the following impacts for the organization:
    • Drive organic growth
    • Increase operational efficiency
    • Maximize enterprise value
  • Collaborate with Physicians, Ophthalmology leaders and support function leaders to develop and share initiatives and best practices across the organization
  • Create presentable format to manage each committee active task priorities list and progress towards stated goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in supporting large, cross functional or enterprise initiatives
  • Proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong competency in creation of executive level materials (ppt, etc.)
  • Commitment to achieving results through work efforts and ability to drive to desired goal completion
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members to high performance levels
  • Experience building repeatable processes and programs that exceed both internal and external customer expectations
  • Proven decision-making skills leading to successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with team members, management and internal/external partners
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience influencing without authority
  • Experience working with teams / individuals with varied cultural backgrounds & learning styles
  • Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to complete a task or project, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally for meetings and attend virtual meetings several times a week in the evenings

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The job operates in a professional office environment.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.  Must work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status.
