OPT Bill Edit Lead Role

Our growing eye care organization has an immediate need for a revenue cycle Bill Edit Specialist with a baseline knowledge of Insurance requirements and revenue cycle functions. 

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal bill edit issues and practice management system mapping requests from various departments within ECP 
  • Identifies opportunities for edits from current denial and rejection trending, with a goal to create a complete and accurate claim.
  • Complete all insurance payer mapping within the internal practice management system 
  • Complete review of bill edit reports to understand where current/new edits need to be adjusted within the practice management system
  • Keep in contact with internal IT resources for any updates or changes made to the system
  • Responsible for reviewing bill overrides for potential improvements to edits
  • Lead system mapping efforts for onboarding acquisitions to prepare for integration before and during the sale
  • Keep in constant communication with the internal leadership team regarding changes and updates that need to be made 
  • Keep all training documentation up to date for insurance payer requirements

 

Requirements: Education, Experience & Skills 

  • Minimum 2 years healthcare billing experience 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
  • Strong knowledge of the full scope of RCM 
  • Ability to work overtime if/when needed
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve root cause issues within internal practice management system
  • Strong excel skill set 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Desire to gain industry knowledge and training 
  • Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing goals 
  • Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change 
  • Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team oriented 
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, and ability to execute despite ambiguity
