We have an opening to join our team of physicians and staff who are passionate about
eye care. We are located near I-35 in Moore for quick and easy commuting in the OKC
area. This position will be working with our reception team, checking in/out patients,
verifying insurance, answering phones and scheduling appointments.


Job Summary
Attend effectively and efficiently to patients on the phone and in person. Coordinate and
organize appointments. Documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the office and support
delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for answering the telephone, scheduling
appointments, working the recall list, verifying patients insurance, handling incoming and
outgoing referrals, and other front desk duties as assigned.


Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Greet patients
• Register patients according to established protocols
• Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical
insurance
• Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information
• Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
• Maintain and manage patient records
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
• Transfer calls as required
• Schedule patient appointments
• Collect co-pays and other payments
• Report statistics as required
• Schedule hospital tests, scans and outside appointments for patients
• Obtain external medical reports as required by ophthalmologists and optometrists
• Respond and comply to requests for information
• Deal with incoming and outgoing post
• Complete other clerical duties as assigned
• Maintain stock of forms and office supplies
• Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience
· High school diploma 
· Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
· Familiarity and experience with EHR (Compulink) preferred
· Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
· Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
