Manager, Revenue Cycle Management

This position is responsible for managing all activities within the revenue cycle management including but not limited to: insurance verification, submission of clean claims, collection of patient and insurance receivables, patient and operation communications, and all activities related to patient access and credentialing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess new acquisition revenue cycle processes
  • Identify opportunities with RCM systems
  • Ensure adherence to metrics for productivity and quality
  • Ensure adherence to and compliance of payor, government and internal system regulatory policies
  • Evaluate staff on job performance
  • Interviewing perspective new employees
  • Hiring of new employee
  • Morale building
  • Training new and existing employees
  • Establish/maintain policy and procedures
  • Maintain at an acceptable level
  • Ensure all accounts are worked within the established time frames.
  • Identify carrier related denial trends
  • Maintain issue logs monthly
  • Manages vendor results on billing/collections

Requirements:

  • Experience with accounts receivable/comprehensive understanding of the revenue cycle
  • Strong managerial and business acumen in a corporate setting
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two or more years of related experience; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Available to travel occasionally <10%

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
