Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

EyeCare Partners is currently seeking an Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis focusing on long range planning for the company, periodic reporting to the board of directors of actual to forecasted results analysis, and financial performance optimization.  This individual will utilize their business acumen, finance skills and communication ability to dig deep and summarize their assessment of financial results to the leadership of the company.  This role requires significant interaction with key operational and support service leadership on a continuous basis, and requires strong communication and presentation skills to audiences ranging from our senior-most executives to mid-level operational leaders.

Position Summary:  Directs and coordinates financial planning, analysis and budgeting of operating divisions and corporate support services segment and presents results to leadership monthly.

Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly actual results and compare to budget and forecast in detail and discuss any significant or unusual variances with departmental leaders for explanation
  • Assess our overall performance and assist in establishing appropriate KPIs; make performance improvement recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Responsible for external reporting and certifications to our banks and rating agencies
  • Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and scenario planning for the CFO and VP of Finance as required 
  • Drive an annual 3-year long-range planning process for the entire organization 
  • Update forecasts on a monthly basis using refined assumptions around business performance, and simultaneously assessing additional risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present a monthly results presentation for leadership
  • Supervise the build of financial models as needed for strategic initiatives across the support services involving IT transformation, labor initiatives, and cost synergy initiatives
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Analysts in developing dashboard visualization of KPIs for support services
  • Manages a team of managers and financial analysts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or technical field such as Engineering 
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in a financial analysis role
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of financial modeling and financial analysis in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP and Adaptive Planning preferable
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with C-suite level leadership
  • Strong work ethic, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to complete a task or project, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, and ability to execute despite ambiguity 

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The job operates in a professional office environment.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Must work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status.
