Position Summary:

Laronde is seeking an experienced, motivated, and entrepreneurial Sr. Scientist or Principal Scientist to scale-up the drug product process development for clinical programs. The candidate will work closely with the platform formulation and delivery sciences team to move a variety of formulations (LNP and non-LNP) to development candidates and scale-up the process for clinical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a process for scale-up of LNP and non-LNP based formulations for specific development candidates
• Collaborate with the platform team to transfer innovations in delivery sciences and apply them to specific development candidates
• Work with the technical development and operations team to support early clinical supplies manufacture
• Collaborate with the technical development scale-out team to deploy a scaled-down process that can be applied for preclinical manufacturing
• Work closely with the analytical development team to characterize the drug product
• Work with the supply chain team to source raw materials and consumables that enable appropriate quality requirements

Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in bioengineering, chemical engineering, biology, biochemistry or related field
• 3-8 years industry experience with PHD
• 2-5 years of experience developing therapeutics-focused technology platforms
• Demonstrated ability in working with highly skilled teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and technical environment
• Strong management experience and success in developing a scientific team and program
