Position Summary:

The Product Manager / Owner, Agile will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ownership of informatics products.  We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership:
    • Own and manage the company’s ELN and bioregistry software, Benchling.
    • Routinely assess and map user experience, and support the development of user stories in order to manage and prioritize backlog.
    • Review potential changes and plan iterative changes to align to the most up to date version of the software available.
  • Management:
    • Leverage agile and/or SDLC methodologies to efficiently and transparently drive workflows.
    • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to manage configuration changes, including driving the change management, user acceptance testing, and implementation steps.
    • Design and implement the communication and training strategy to ensure users can effectively leverage the technology.
    • Ensure data vocabularies, templates, and data categories are maintained and applied.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Life Sciences or related field with 8 years of industry experience is required
  • Agile, Scrum, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing software
  • Experience with ELN and LIMS systems, preferably Benchling
  • Expertise in data and information management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in research informatics, supporting at least one of the core drug discovery scientific disciplines (chemistry, biology, and/or clinical)
  • PMI-ACP certification
  • Benchling experience
