Position Summary:

The Research Associate will be responsible supporting the team with a focus on molecular, cellular biology and screen platform development. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to design, plan and execute experiments that support research activities, project goals, and platform development.
  • Mammalian cell tissue culture and aseptic technique
  • Lenti-viral production and infection
  • Genomic DNA extractions, PCR amplification and optimization
  • Time management of multiple projects while keeping excellent records of experimental results
  • Maintain up to date lab notebooks and communicate/present data to scientific team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A./B.S. in cell biology or related fields.
  • Strong experience with mammalian cell tissue culture
  • Excellent troubleshooting capability, attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven hands-on experience with cell-based and molecular biology assays with a variety of readout technologies, such as immunocytochemistry and PCR
  • Ability to independently generate and document precise, reproducible data and skillfully analyze the data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner
  • Motivated and excited about biological discovery and assay development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of FLOW/FACS and ability to use FlowJo is highly desirable
  • Experience with Next Generation Sequencing platforms.
