Position Summary:

The Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate will be responsible for T cell culture and development of immunological assays. This individual will work closely and report to a scientist to run assays, including but not limited to RT-qPCR, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry. In addition, the research assistant is expected to contribute to general laboratory upkeep and maintain a pleasant working environment. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to:

• Culture and monitor the health of primary T cells
• Develop assays to assess T cell immune response
• Run assays, including but not limited to RT-qPCR, ddPCR, immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry
• Keep good records of experiments and cell line inventory
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses
• Lab maintenance

Basic Qualifications:

• B.A./B.S. or M.S. in cell biology, immunology, or related fields.
• Experience with culturing cell lines and primary cells
• Past research experience in cell biology and molecular biology
• Excellent troubleshooting and capability, attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organization, record-keeping, and time management skills
• Team oriented and self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with culturing primary T cells
