Job Description

We are looking for a creative and highly motivated bench scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of molecular biology and has considerable hands-on experience with mRNA display technology. The successful candidate will be working with FL69 origination team to establish the early-stage company platform, vision and to drive the discovery of transformative medicines.

Responsibilities

  •  Leverage knowledge of mRNA display technology to support ongoing target discovery and validation projects
  • Design and execute mRNA display-based experiments to support target ID and validation pipeline
  • Develop and apply novel high-throughput NGS-based methods to analyze nucleic acids, protein expression, and cell phenotypes
  • Interaction with and management of CRO work to expand and diversify internal capabilities
  • Collect and interpret data and present to cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field with 3 years of relevant research experience or BS with 7 years of relevant research experience or PhD with 0-2 years of experience
  • A strong background in molecular and RNA biology, hands-on experience with mRNA display methods
  • Proficiency with molecular biology, molecular cloning and NGS library preparation
  • Experience with cell-free translation assays and luciferase-based translation reporters
  • Familiarity with RNA-centric NGS methods such as RNA-seq, Ribo-seq, eCLIP, scRNA-seq
  • Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including documentation in a laboratory notebook
  • Position title and compensation will be determined by years of relevant experience
