Position Summary:

The Senior Research Associate will work closely with scientists in the ex vivo team to translate novel gene writing technologies to develop innovative therapeutics for hematological disorders. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in vitro studies to evaluate and validate novel gene writing technologies in human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs)
  • Purify genomic DNA and RNA for gene writing efficiency analysis
  • Perform assays to characterize the phenotype of gene modified HSPCs
  • Make detailed observations, analyze, and interpret data

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in biological sciences with 2+ years postgraduate experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience in tissue culture of cell lines and primary cells
  • Previous experience with flow cytometry
  • Quick learner and team player

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with human HSPC or T cell culture and manipulation
  • Experience in non-viral or viral gene delivery methods, including electroporation, nucleofection and viral transduction
