The opportunity:

The Customs Program Management team supports our Brokerage operation by identifying opportunities, creating creative solutions, and driving key initiatives to help our business scale and expand globally. A day in the life of a Customs Program - Associate can include working on a long term project, spinning up ad-hoc data analysis, training Brokers on a new process, and researching the latest Customs regulatory changes to determine impact to the business. You should be prepared to plan your day in advance and be ready to quickly pivot as real time regulatory changes happen. The role is highly cross collaborative and you can anticipate working with multiple teams any given week including Data Analytics, Operational Excellence, Data Services, Technology, Supply Chain Operations and Client Solutions. A person applying to this role should enjoy a little chaos and also have the ability to hone in and drive clarity within a sometimes ambiguous environment.

 

You will:

  • Design, build and execute strategic and innovative new initiatives and ad-hoc projects to meet business needs. 
  • Develop error proof SOPs (ensuring efficient and scalable processes)  
  • Develop metrics and track success of project rollouts
  • Write comprehensive narratives and trainings
  • Support daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks that drive our business:
  • Evaluate current tools and processes on a regular basis and make recommendations with the objective of continuous improvement in the way we operate globally

You should have:

  • 1+ years of experience in Customs brokerage or general freight operations
  • Strong project management skills, managing the following effectively: project timelines, deliverables, budget, status updates amongst partners and key stakeholders and team accountability 
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization and planning skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Experience in driving cross-functional improvement projects from idea to implementation and adoption
  • Superior communication skills: ability to communicate and present at different organizational levels
  • Superb analytical, modeling and reporting skills - experience building out dynamic models, creating reports (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Proficient in Google apps
