Our Retail Operations and Transformation team maintain a strong focus on SAP support, in-store operations, and checkouts across all three retail banners.  Monitoring a range of important metrics, the team are also involved in new store openings, ownership changes, and various business initiatives.
 
Te Tūranga – About the role
As a Retail Operations Specialist you’ll be responsible for the engagement, education, planning, developing and deployment of new solutions to member stores.  Based predominantly in stores, you’ll support instore operational activities, identifying improvements across BAU & ensuring agile projects are scoped and implemented with appropriate change management activities.
 
To do this you’ll:
·       Directly support stores within BAU and special projects across SAP, Retail Systems & Retail Operational areas.
·       Support agreed business process changes in stores.
·       Regularly Coach stores using your expertise and knowledge on supported Retail Operations processes to improve overall performance.
·       Collaborate with multiple business units within the business to identify efficient ways of services provided to member stores.
·       Provide the Owner Operator with a balanced overview of the Operational Compliance aspects of the business through effective use of KPI driven support visits and making recommendations for opportunities for improvement and adding value to their business.
 
This role looks after a region of around 30 stores between Waihi and Gisborne and will require frequent travel with over night trips once every three months.

To nail this role you’ll be experienced in retail operations and systems, with a natural ability to identify and seek improvement in ways of working.  With the desire to drive continuous improvement for our stores, you’ll be integral in supporting competitive advantage.
 
You’ll also be:
·       Able to run basic reporting and analysis alongside with store team.
·       A logical thinker with sound numerical reasoning skills.
·       Highly organised, tenacious, and resilient with the ability to apply these skills practically in various store projects and BAU deliverables in a retail environment.
·       Agile in your work ethic to meet the ever-changing needs towards store support and other business critical project deliverables.
·       Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively collaborate with others.
