What will you be doing?
frog clients come to us to help them envisage and build new business, or to enhance their existing business with new products, services, and experiences. As an Associate Strategy Director, you will guide teams of designers, technologists, program managers and strategists in frog engagements. This is a management role in which you will have primary responsibility for project delivery as an engagement leader. You will take the lead in crafting a point of view and approach to the project. You will build relationships with clients while advising and supporting the day to day work of the frog team. You will work across every stage of the product development lifecycle in close collaboration with designers and technologists to ensure that the concepts and design decisions are sensitive to both the needs of users and our clients’ businesses. You will chart a path forward together with your frog team, even when information is ambiguous and the project challenging. You should be eager to involve clients in the design process, highly responsive to feedback, and excited to present your team’s ideas in front of executives.
In addition to leading consulting engagements, you will manage and coach junior colleagues. You should be nurturing and supportive, and your feedback should be specific and actionable. Additionally, you will work on business development efforts - crafting approaches, writing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients. You will play an active role in developing frog’s strategy practice and thought leadership.
You are empathetic, curious, humble, and creative. You don’t accept the world as you find it but strive to improve it. You are skilled at reducing complexity to hone-in on the essence of a business or strategy challenge. You are driven to learn new things. As a frog strategist, you can pursue your interests across functions, industries, and geographies.
We want you to have:
- 5+ years of experience in one or more areas of the product development lifecycle – user research, envisioning new solutions, market validation, business modelling, requirements definition, architecture definition, design, implementation, and support strategies
- Excellent presentation and writing skills, both as a speaker and a workshop facilitator
- An ability to guide high performing teams using persuasion and influence (rather than command and control)
- Strong math and statistical skills, including experience in Excel modelling, financial analysis, and business case development
- High peer, end-user, or client satisfaction with the work products that you created
- Experience in identifying and delivering on growth opportunities and bringing products or services to market.
- Willingness to travel for research, project delivery, and client meetings
- Business level ability in English
It would be a bonus if you had:

- Experience working in a consultancy, agency, or other client-services business
- Experience in supporting or leading sales efforts
- Experience uniting diverse stakeholders around a common vision grounded in human needs
- A history of researching, writing, and speaking publicly on business, strategy, innovation, and related topics
- Hands on research expertise, from ethnographic and other qualitative research methods to quantitative research skills including survey design and data analysis
- An interest in global trends, from culture to people and business to climate, and how that impacts our world
- Experience with SPSS or other statistical software
- A solid understanding of user-centred design and the design process
- An interest in technology, both extant and emerging
- A second language (and every additional language is a plus!)
