YOUR WORK-LIFE OPPORTUNITY:

We are a product centered company and all of our teams rely heavily on data to drive product development. By experimenting with features in different markets, testing hypotheses and UI/UX changes through experimentation and tracking success metrics continuously, the Product science team is strategic for the development cycle of our apps in Glovo.

As a leader, you’ll take advantage of your experience and quantitative background to lead and mentor other data scientists & product analysts to use data to uncover behavioral patterns and provide actionable insights that guide product development teams. If you enjoy making an impact through leading teams that create analytical tools, understand users and product in depth, identifying business and product opportunities for growth and optimization, we’re looking for someone like you!

BE A PART OF A TEAM WHERE YOU WILL:

  • Recruit, lead and manage a team of Data Scientist and Product Analysts  of different seniority levels
  • Collaborate with business, product and engineering stakeholders to prioritise the most impactful work and ensure the teams' needs are accounted for
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of your teams projects
  • Translate product questions and hypotheses into analysis and actionable insights through advanced analytics and ML techniques. 
  • Lead the design and analysis of product experiments (A/B tests, multivariate test, etc) that will directly impact the business
  • Improve data discovery and literacy: develop and maintain scalable and self-service visualization tools and dashboards, promoting their use across the company
  • Serve as a subject matter expert of business data and database structures
  • Ensure that the quality of the work delivered by the team is compliant with the highest standards and properly documented
  • Ensure that technical documentation is produced to the highest standard
  • Think big and contribute to the strategy for better data quality within Glovo
  • Collaborate with many Product, Engineering and Business teams to produce relevant data solutions that can be used across multiple use cases

YOU HAVE:

  • Between 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, managing a team of scientists (5+ people) or multiple projects. Preferably in the digital/tech space 
  • Several years of hands-on experience on Product & data science roles as an individual contributor
  • Experience setting short and long-term goals and possesses a strong internal drive to achieve them
  • Good understanding of software development and agile methodologies
  • Good SQL skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing Machine Learning and advanced statistical models to solve business & product problems
  • Knowledge of data Management using relational and non-relational databases
  • Proficiency in statistical programming (Python/R) and experience working with popular libraries and tools such as Pandas, SciPy, Seaborn, Jupyter/iPython notebooks, R Markdown
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in designing and analysing experiments in digital products (A/B test, multivariate, etc)
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Looker or Qlikview
  • Experience with AWS, and cloud-based infrastructure (or equivalent tools)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and you are able to work cross-functionally with leaders in Product, Marketing, Engineering teams to unlock new opportunities
  • Proficiency in English is a must
