As a Data Manager, you will be recruiting, managing and leading a multidisciplinary data team that delivers continuously and maximizes its impact to the business.

You will help analytical professionals with their development to achieve their full potential, while they keep producing great results, with the vision of creating a solid team.

You will have a direct impact on shaping the Data Strategy of both your area and Glovo.

We are hiring a Data manager to lead the Sales, Marketing & Content squad under Q-Commerce Analytics, who will be responsible for owning the vision and implementation of the analytical tools and models needed to scale the Q-Commerce business. The Q-Commerce business currently operates on different platforms as a result of recent M&A activity and will need to scale and be designed also for a near future with more acquisitions to come. You will work with the Chief of Staff of Q-Commerce and a Senior Data Manager to build the analytical infrastructure for the department; you will lead a team of Data professionals that will enable the business teams of Q-Commerce to take full advantage of data, by driving complex analysis to drive decisions about Q-Commerce assortment and content quality, sales action prioritization, and operational improvements.

  • Understand business needs and translate them into projects, which you will supervise; defining and owning ambitious team objectives and the strategy to achieve them with your team.
  • Collaborate with business, product and engineering stakeholders to make sure we prioritise and produce the most relevant insights and ensure that the right data needs are accounted for.
  • Enable your team to deliver, balancing short term goals with long term objectives aligned with area & data OKRs (build to last, ensure data quality, etc.).
  • Be a Servant Leader, empowering your team to be self-sufficient while providing support (managing dependencies, solving problems, achieving results, continuous improvement, etc.).
  • Coach and mentor your team to advance their careers and improve their professional skills, fostering a culture of feedback and creating a safe environment for everyone
  • Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference.

You have:

  • Experience in people management (humbleness, empathy, influencing, fairness, candor, servant leadership, accountability, etc.).
  • Previous hands-on experience in one or more data domains (data analytics, data engineering, or data science).
  • Leadership skills (team development, strategic planning, business acumen, influencing, making change happen).
  • Project management skills (familiarity with Agile and OKRs) and knowledge in productising data solutions (familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps framework).
  • Be familiar with technical concepts & tools in most disciplines of data. You can pick the right approach & tool, and help others do so.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English).
