Your work-life opportunity:

Glovo relies heavily on machine learning to make decisions in different areas of the business. The ML Infrastructure team is responsible for building reliable distributed systems that support the lifecycle of our ML models.

Due to the ever-changing nature of AI, you will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes, Workflow orchestrators, Service meshes and different queuing systems and DB engines.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Work on initiatives that have a direct impact on the company’s KPIs.
  • Participate in a team culture focused on operational excellence.
  • Implement new solutions that enable ML engineers to deploy sophisticated models and iterate on their performance, including feature stores, service meshes, real-time analytical platforms, etc.
  • Automate the continuous delivery of ML systems. Improve developer productivity and guarantee the continued reliability of all our systems.
  • Create systems to support data-intensive applications that compute and serve TBs of data every day.
  • Implement stream processing systems to calculate and monitor the performance of our models in real time.
  • Participate in incident management, diagnosis and mitigation of production incidents. Identify gaps in tooling and monitoring that will help us detect and prevent those problems in the future.

You have:

  • Developing and running applications in large production systems.
  • Setting up the network topology, permissions, governance and security policies of large enterprise systems.
  • Instrumenting services and monitoring key operational metrics
  • Working with Docker, Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
  • Using different AWS services (EKS, RDS, Kinesis…).
  • Defining infrastructure and processes as code through Terraform and GitOps.
  • Writing reliable libraries and scripts in languages like Python or Go.
  • Troubleshooting problems with scheduling, networking, I/O, etc. by drilling down into the technical details of the solutions we work with.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Prior experience with Machine Learning Operations.
  • Contributions to key open-source projects.
  • Experience with Argo (CD, workflows, events and rollouts).
