We continue to ensure that our systems are built reliably and securely and are seeking an experienced senior leader to help us continue to drive forward our security practices, policies and systems for our company and engineering team.
 
As the Director of Engineering, Information Security, you will define, build and lead multiple teams that will drive our practices and process with regards to securing our systems, products and data. You are a motivated leader with exceptional communication skills and have experience in establishing policies and procedures that will secure our global production environments and products. You will help us identify threats to Glovo’s systems and ensure we are three steps ahead of any potential vulnerability or attack on our systems. You will know the areas we need to focus on to secure our technology and platforms and build the right teams to help us achieve this. Looking at our internal tools as well as the systems that make up Glovo, you will ensure we are continuously taking the right approach in all aspects of engineering and manage areas such as security infrastructure, services management, threat detection and response. Other areas that you will be responsible for are (but not limited to) deployment and operation of information security tools and systems, management of firewalls, endpoint protection, malware detection, anomaly detection and encryption tools.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Define policies and procedures that will help secure our internal and production systems while providing a clear response on how to respond to incidents.
  • Be the subject matter expert on all things security and define/build the needed teams that will continue to defend against any potential security threats from global actors deemed a threat to the safety and integrity of our systems and data.
  • Proactively harden our infrastructure, networks and services while educating all internal Glovo teams on all matters related to security  
  • Ensure our engineering teams are building tools, services and systems in a safe and secure way
  • Build the necessary services that monitor and detect any intrusion or anomaly within our networks
  • Contribute to the creation & implementation of security Strategies
  • Evangelise the importance of security across Glovo helping to shift culture where needed to a security first mindset

You have: 

  • A degree in computer science, information management or similar discipline
  • 8+ years of practical experience with security architecture, design and implementation in large scale products and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience building a security policies and procedures for teams of engineers who are deploying code continuously
  • Experience with cloud based platforms such as AWS, GCP and related security controls (IAM, Lambda, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, KMS)
  • Experience in leading teams in an Agile software development environment
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with ISO, GDPR, Fedramp and other compliance initiatives and frameworks
