Team overview

The Fintech team is responsible for assuring that users can pay on the Glovo platform using their preferred payment method while ensuring that the platform remains free from bad actors trying to abuse it.
 
The team is building the payments platform as well as real-time systems to combat all types of fraud and security threats, ranging from stolen credit cards to account takeover to incentive abuse. The team leverages machine learning and works closely with industry partners to build services that make Glovo one of the most accessible and safest on-demand platforms around.

You have:

  • Good understanding of payments industry 
  • A degree in computer science or a similar field
  • Demonstrable experience managing managers, senior ICs and agile teams of engineers with proven ability to grow your team(s)/hire, track its velocity, and keep them motivated
  • Proven ability to define clear KPIs and gather the necessary data to back up decisions
  • Experience working with micro services end-to-end
  • A deep sense of ownership with clear, demonstrable experience of proactiveness
  • Ability to understand the impact of changes within an engineering organization and how best to manage that impact
