Your work-life opportunity:

The goal of the Money Flow team is to ensure that the calculations of all balance movements are correct.

The team owns several components and services that will interact in the core business flows to ensure that all the financial calculations are correct with respect to multiple Glovo actors like Partners, Couriers, and Customers. This information will be used by our ledger and invoicing platforms. 

The team is multidisciplinary, there are backend and frontend engineers working in a distributed environment with synchronous and asynchronous flows. They also work in the integration of internal services with different technical strategies.

As the Engineering Manager, you will lead and be the support backbone of this team of engineers, helping them grow and ensuring that they are motivated by their work and are a high performing team.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Manage and grow a team of engineers that build and support one of the most sensitive and impactful systems in the company
  • Ensure high availability, reliability and performance of systems and services owned by the team
  • Support the team in delivering complex projects with very little room for mistakes
  • Ensure that the team has well defined tech and productivity KPIs, is focused on achieving their goals, and delivering on its commitments
  • Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference

You have:

  • Degree in computer science or similar
  • At least 5 years playing an Individual Contributor or Technical Lead role with a track record of impactful projects
  • +2 years managing an agile team of engineers with proven ability to grow your team/hire, track its velocity, and keep them motivated
  • Proven ability to define clear KPIs and gather the necessary data to back up decisions
  • Experience working with microservices end-to-end
  • Experience working with security sensitive projects
  • Basic understanding of payments industry
  • A deep sense of ownership with clear, demonstrable experience of proactiveness
  • Ability to understand the impact of changes within an engineering organization and how best to manage that impact
  • Egalitarian management style
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
