Your work-life opportunity:

We are looking for a Expansion Lead to join the Ivory Coast Expansion team in Abidjan.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Give you the trust and support to grow, develop, and make a difference while encouraging you to bring your unique perspective to the table
  • Collaborate together and learn from each other
  • Lead a 360 team in charge of launching new cities and driving them to success in record time, having a direct impact on Glovo’s expansion agenda in Ivory Coast.
  • Work together with the Head of Expansion and the functional heads to define winning sales, growth and operations strategies for your cities, and own its implementation end to end.
  • Run all the on-ground activities to build the foundation for Glovo to succeed, managing multiple projects and being a resourceful multi-tasker.
  • Identify and sign local partnerships, plan and execute the onboarding of local couriers, recruit and train your local SWAT team to pave the road to success.
  • Build, scale, communicate and maintain detailed reporting models to assist expansion efforts, both on a strategic and operational level.
  • Be the representative for Glovo in your area for press, launch events, conferences, and media interactions.
  • Lead by example in accordance to our values and set high standards for the team.
  • Travel up to 90% of the time, moving between cities in Ivory Coast.

You have:

  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
  • A passion to make a positive impact on the life of millions of people through technology
  • You have 3-4 years of experience in consulting / business development / start-up or similar. Previous experience managing small teams is a plus.
  • You are very hard working and can prove a strong track record of excellent performance. 
  • Get stuff done attitude: Launchers need to get a lot done in a short period. You have a scrappy attitude, are comfortable working with limited resources under tight deadlines, thrive in an unknown environment and you’re not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty.
  • Ability to work with remote teams through clear and concise communication
  • Be an owner mindset: You are committed to growing Glovo in your cities, and digging deep to solve bottlenecks. You’re solution-oriented and don’t take no for an answer. 
  • Immerse and network: Launchers travel often to have a full local knowledge of their cities. You should be able to immerse yourself in any environment, network extensively and map the city out in a few days
  • Ability to balance swift pace of execution with attention to detail
  • Orientation toward results, you are autonomous and efficient
  • English required
