Your work-life opportunity:

We are looking for someone to take responsibility for structuring Glovo’s corporate and strategic communications in Francophone Africa. The successful candidate will join our Public Affairs team to lead our corporate comms strategy in the region (Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia to begin with, more to follow) and implement it with the support of the local teams. Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Collaborate together and learn from each other
  • Take part in the strategic design of Glovo’s PA/Strategic Communications and PR/Corporate Communications at the global and regional level, and lead the implementation in Francophone Africa.
  • Manage proactive and reactive media events - PR, media opportunities, speaking ops, crisis management.
  • Manage Glovo’s relationship with key stakeholders in the regulatory, policy administrative and social spheres and structure our contribution to policy debates.
  • Ensure coherence of messages and actions in all Glovo media relations and create and maintain a fluent relationship with journalists interested in Glovo and the tech sector.
  • Work across Glovo with different teams to identify the Policy and Comms relevance of their strategies, actions and needs.
  • Coordinate with other teams (Policy, Social Impact, Marketing, Legal, Ops, etc) to reinforce regulatory and public opinion strategy.
  • Ensure Glovo’s communications are aligned with the company’s purpose, vision and mission.
  • Comms crisis management when/if needed

You have:

  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
  • A passion to make a positive impact on the life of millions of people through technology
  • At least 3+ years experience working in public relations, PA, corporate communications, strategic media relations or issues management. 
  • Experience in issues management and crisis management. Comfortable defining and working with key PR metrics.
  • Understanding and exposure to the workings of a regulatory process, key stakeholders and dynamics.
  • Experience defining a company’s narrative and ability to develop media strategies to maximise impact and coverage across multiple channels.
  • Strategic experience of company relations beyond pure media and PR channels.
  • Ability to understand the business and its challenges and to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of the social, economic and political context and who is who in the areas affecting the public agenda of Glovo.
  • Fluency in English and French. Basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Social and interpersonal communications skills. Team Player.
