As part of the exciting challenge of scaling, our focus on our testing tooling and infrastructure is becoming a priority so we are seeking software engineers who are passionate about testing and like to break things so they can be rebuilt in better ways.
 
As a frontend engineer from the Web Platform team you’ll work on scaling our codebase and tooling to accommodate our growth, enabling engineering teams to deploy and operate systems with reduced lead time and stack complexity. You’ll work on making the release and build processes of our mobile applications rock solid. Building and optimizing our mobile CI pipeline to ensure high-confidence deliveries will be a big part of your job. You’ll work with frontend engineers in other teams to understand the inside-out of the applications and find out how to improve their performance at build-time and ensure high-confidence deployments.

 You have:
  • Computer Science or similar degree.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Familiarity with modern development and build tools such as git, npm, babel, and webpack; experience with front-end JS testing tools and a comprehensive understanding of UI testing techniques
  • Strong analytical and team collaboration skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript
  • A solid understanding in core web and browser concepts (eg. how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
  • A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with other parts of the organization
  • Experience working with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Experience with Vue.js
  • Some experience languages like Java/Ruby/C++/C# or equivalent
