Your work-life opportunity:

The Courier Cluster Data Team is in charge of providing reliable metrics for the entire Couriers cluster in Glovo. For that, we review the definition of the metrics with the stakeholders, generate the ETL process to extract the data, monitor its deployment in the database, and finally present the information with engaging dashboards.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Global Courier team, you will need to understand the metrics that are relevant for each team, validate how to obtain those metrics, build dashboards that can be easily consumed by the rest of the teams, monitor their performance, and react in case of failure.

The data to be visualised can range from real-time monitoring of a city's status, to historical data (delivery times, active couriers, earnings, etc.). The goal is to empower the different teams to make informed decisions. This can be done by using standard graphic techniques (such as bar plots, chord diagrams, retention tables, etc.), to more complex approaches such as graph visualizations.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Build dashboards to monitor the most relevant metrics in the Couriers cluster.
  • Build solutions focused on reliability, scalability and maintainability.
  • Validate that the final product can be easily consumed by the end-user (credentials management, VPN limitations, smartphone/desktop design).
  • Monitor all the processes running, and react in case of failure.
  • Ensure security, and GDPR compliance.

You have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI or Google Data Studio.
  • Good sense of aesthetics to provide engaging solutions.
  • Experience with SQL and Python is a must.
  • Experience with Python visualization packages such as Dash, Matplotlib, Seaborn or Plotly, is desired.
  • Knowledge of Graph Databases (such as Neo4j) will be a plus.
  • Familiar with collaborative environments such as GitHub, and experience creating branches, doing pull requests, merging changes, etc.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and align with the different stakeholders.
  • Interested in learning the current industry trends, to provide up-to-date solutions.
  • Passion for reliability and precise data.
  • Familiar with observability and monitoring of software applications, such as DataDog.
  • Familiar with Cloud Platforms such as AWS.
  • Familiar with basics of software security, such as authentication protocols, authorisation frameworks, identity and access management, etc.
