Your work-life opportunity:

Glovo is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Product Design M with management experience to help us build a whole new UX team from the ground up. Your new team will be responsible for building exceptional Support and Fintech product experiences. You will create all the necessary connections with Tech and Product, while using user-centric approaches to create the best experience across a broad range of users.

In collaboration with the UX Director and other Design and Research leads, you will be given the autonomy to plan out a roadmap for the new team creation and general setup. 
 
Taking over the recruitment process, you will hire the people needed and lead them strategically towards the standardisation and evolution of the current UI and UX, by learning directly from the expectations and motivations of our users.
 
Being in constant touch with all the relevant stakeholders, you will build a team with a solid UX process and generate solutions to product challenges, driven by clear and measurable goals.

What you’ll do

  • Drive the strategy of several interconnected backoffice platforms from a UX perspective to enable design deliverables at scale.
  • Work in domains with ambiguity and defer to data-driven execution and testing.
  • Be part of the UX Leadership team working alongside other Design Leads to ensure craft quality, consistency of practices and processes across platforms.
  • Manage and mentor from 3 to 7 designers.
  • Hire and scale the structure of your team.
  • Work with your team to identify and remove repetitive tasks or components across platforms to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Data, UXR and Content to define problems and identify opportunity areas for your product domains.
  • Foster partnership between Design and UXR to ensure product decisions are data-driven and user-centred.

You have:

  • Extended experience working in product design in a fast-paced tech organization.
  • Experience leading and mentoring from junior to senior designers.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, products and users with different priorities and deadlines.
  • You’ve built and scaled hybrid component libraries across teams (i.e.: Design Systems).
  • You have past experience thinking in systems to boost efficiency across teams. 
  • You have a portfolio that showcases your eye for detail, user-centred mindset and system thinking skills.
