Your work-life opportunity:

The mission of Customer Solutions is to build an industry leading post ordering experience. This means that as a part of the team you will be involved in defining this experience and creating solutions for problems that occur to our customers after they have made an order with Glovo. This will include topics like optimising the post ordering flow, reducing operational costs by automation and self-service tools, devising advanced (push and email) notification systems.
The systems built inside Customer Solutions cater to the throughput that is proportional to the volume of orders we are serving, this means designing highly performant solutions that can easily scalable to support Glovo’s growth. We are a customer facing team and this requires us to also focus on the usability and the user experience of the tools so that they are convenient and easy to use for our users.
Customer Solutions is a multicultural high impact team with mobile, web and backend developers. The team has full autonomy to launch our features in production and own them end to end.

You have: 

  • Computer Science or similar degree
  • 5+ years of relevant full-time experience
  • Strong Java skills
  • Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture
  • Ability to write good unit tests is a must
  • Knowledge of relational databases and other approaches to data management
  • Knowledge of concurrency and Event Driven Development
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Vivid interest in at least one area outside of coding (architecture, algorithms, optimization, automation, scalability, etc.)
  • Good English
