Your work-life opportunity:

Micro Fulfillment Centres (MFCs) are the warehouses we use to fulfil super-fast Glovo orders and are at the cutting edge of Glovo innovation. An engineer in one of our MFC teams will help build a state of the art warehouse management system which will allow us to scale our MFC network. Our software is going to boost the efficiency and profitability of our MFC business and it will integrate with robotics solutions, machine learning models and with the rest of Glovo's platform.

You have:

An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
Computer Science or similar degree.
4+ years of relevant full-time experience.
Strong Python and Java skills.
Experience with scripting languages.
Strong experience with observability (monitoring, alerting, distributed tracing etc..)
Experience diagnosing and resolving performance problems in complex software systems.
Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture.
Strong will to adhere to best practices in OO development and a need to leave well-structured code in your tracks.
The urge to write automated tests.
Knowledge of relational and non relational databases.
Knowledge of concurrency and Event-Driven Development.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Vivid interest in at least one area outside of coding (architecture, algorithms, optimization, automation, scalability, etc.)
You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves:

Experience in managing distributed services/microservices platforms.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Experience with Kafka or Kinesis.
