Your work-life opportunity:

We are looking for a creative problem solver to join our Barcelona HQ. Working in the Global Supply Excellence team you will be focused on improving courier quality and behaviours. You will be the one to deep dive into the operational issues and processes, understand the root causes and come up with solutions to help couriers get the most out of the platform, while delivering the best customer and partner experience. Your responsibilities will also include finding scalable approaches to automate tasks, in a way that they can remain adaptable to local needs and practices, while minimising manual work. This role will require an ability to think outside of the box when normal methods don’t work to complete a task. The knowledge and previous experience working with automation and programming languages such as Python, SQL, JavaScript are highly desirable.
 
The Global Supply Excellence team is at the center of working with regional and local operations and Glovo product teams, which will give you a chance to learn a lot about various aspects of Glovo business and make a difference. We are looking for curiosity and desire to continuously improve our platform.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Deep dive into Glovo operational metrics and processes to understand behavioural patterns of the couriers and the areas for improvement
  • Build the operational tools and design processes from scratch
  • Run A/B tests fast and smartly to get new insights
  • Be in touch with our Data/Tech team to request and implement new product features
  • Make good use of internal data to build dashboards that measure and track the impact of your actions
  • Roll out the tools you build to different markets, adapting them to local need

You have:

  • Background studies in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or Mathematics
  • 2-3 years of professional experience outside of an academic and internship setting, in a quantitative analysis role: operations preferred
  • Excellent SQL skills 
  • Redshift experience is highly valued.
  • Solid proficiency in statistical programming (Python/R) and experience working with popular tools such as Pandas, SciPy, Seaborn, Jupyter/iPython notebooks, R Markdown.
  • Knowledgeable and preferably experienced in designing and analysing experiments (A/B test, multivariate, etc)
  • Knowledge of visualisation tools like Tableau, Looker, Qlikview.
  • Strong analytical knowledge and experience with reporting, driving insights, and data-driven optimisation
  • You are able to act as an owner / lead for large scale and complex data analysis projects that impact global, strategic business roadmaps & operations
  • Hands-on: you are willing to get your hands dirty and are looking to bring your ideas to life and find a way to get things done
  • You have an amazing attention to detail and a great appetite to learn
  • You have strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and multitask, work well under pressure, handle multiple issues simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Good communication skills: you are able to manage various stakeholders and know how to structure the information
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in English
