Glovo is looking for world-class Senior Data Scientists to work in our Barcelona office.

Be a part of a team where you will:
- Contribute to the development of Glovo’s Search engine by a cross functional team (Product Management,Software Engineering, Data) and being responsible for the implementation of the Machine Learning part of the solution
- Develop, test and productionize predictive algorithms by using state of the art machine learning algorithms and statistical models
- Evaluate algorithms through controlled offline (e.g. cross validation with holdouts strategy) and online experiments (e.g. A/B testing, MAB, RL)
- Help shape the future of the team by designing and carrying out experiments that provide actionable insights
- Create dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results and monitor key metrics
- Opportunity to grow the DS Glovo community through mentoring and recruiting
- Disseminate outcomes through talks as well as papers and posters in conferences
You have:
-
At least 2+ years of experience in the development of Machine Learning solutions applied to search engines, and knowledge of the relevant technologies and concepts (Elastic Search, Semantic Search, etc)

Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in at-least one of the following areas: supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, game theory, statistical inference, bayesian statistics, causal inference, time series analysis, decision theory, mathematical optimisation

Demonstrable experience at productionising ideas; from conception to deployment

Python and/or R experience; can independently prototype solutions to problems

Experience with big data (e.g. PySpark or equivalent) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Excellent English communication skills and ability to tailor for different audiences
