Your work-life opportunity:

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Central Business Intelligence team. The role is responsible for planning and executing a variety of data projects to support data analysis and reporting throughout the company.
 
Central BI lead strategic data projects for Glovo. As well as our Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Quality programmes, they work with Engineering teams to identify the data impact of upcoming Tech projects, and manage the changes needed to keep company reporting up and running. They're also the center of excellence for BI Engineering and Analytics, offering support and mentorship to our data community.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Manage projects to build and improve our BI infrastructure including data pipelines, our enterprise data warehouse, and reporting platforms.
  • Work with software teams to understand the data impact of upcoming Tech projects, to make sure that the needs of data stakeholders are covered, and to manage downstream data changes.
  • Work with departmental BI Data Engineers to integrate their data pipelines into our Enterprise Data Warehouse to build our "Single Version of the Truth".
  • Work with senior stakeholders on KPI definitions.
  • Bring software engineering best practices to your projects including rigorous testing, modularization, DRY, etc.
  • Define and communicate requirements and specifications.
  • Define project plans and set milestones. Map dependencies from other teams, communicate them, and ensure their timely delivery.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Define what success looks like and how it is measured.
  • Coordinate the advancement of the projects and ensure their correct execution. Remove roadblocks and escalate whenever necessary.
  • Communicate the status of your projects to stakeholders including Glovo's leadership team.
  • Identify opportunities for us to improve our processes and systems.
  • Deliver results. Learn from mistakes. Iterate.

You have:

  • 3+ years of experience leading data projects; managing stakeholders and writing specifications.
  • Good understanding and experience of the data domain, including data warehousing, data pipelines and reporting platforms such as Looker. AWS experience is a plus.
  • SQL a must, Python and Looker an advantage.
  • Practical experience with Agile methodologies and ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated track record of taking large, complex technical projects and delivering them on-time.
  • Ability to turn complex problems into clear technical requirements and project plans.
  • Knowledge of microservice architectures an advantage.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other numerate discipline preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written English is a must, Spanish is a plus.
