Greenhouse is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team!

The Developer Platform team is responsible for the tools and platform used by our product engineers to efficiently ship high-quality software. As the leader of this team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to build and roll out a modern private PaaS running on top of Kubernetes. You’ll coach and grow the team, working with some of the best engineers out there; you’ll set the strategy, objectives, and key results that will enable the team to deliver great results; and you’ll collaborate with product management to create the best possible user experience.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of 5-8 engineers with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and growth
  • Deliver and continuously improve a modern and scalable private PaaS
  • Collaborate with product management to build software that delights our users
  • Participate in system design and influence organization-wide technical strategy
  • Pursue a data-driven approach to maximizing developer throughout

You should have

  • Experience planning and delivering complex projects from inception to completion
  • Experience managing an engineering team and building an inclusive culture
  • A deep understanding of modern continuous delivery practices, including GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in architecture and system design
  • Proficiency in a high-level programming language (GoLang a plus!)
  • Experience with a container orchestration platform, preferably Kubernetes
  • Strong empathetic leadership skills, an ability to build consensus while creating space for others
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills

The national pay range for this role is $170,000 - $230,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor.
