Iora Health is seeking a Full-time Care Team Practice Medical Director in our Puyallup/Pierce County market in Washington. The CTMD will work closely with the Market Medical Director to play a critical role in both care delivery and ongoing practice innovation and leadership. 

Position Highlights:

  • Responsible, in partnership with the Clinical Team Manager, for ensuring that the practice team functions effectively as a unit
  • Manage and develop the care team (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Behavioral Health Specialist) understanding both their current performance and long-term professional goals
  • Serve as visible team leader; solve problems, make sound decisions; help others with sound decision making, empower teams to work at and achieve their best
  • Ensure the practice adheres to evidence-based practice and engage patients in care
  • Ground care in patients’ self-identified values; practice active shared decision making and support advanced care planning
  • Drive quality (e.g HEDIS, 5-Star) and population health goals at point of care, through panel rounding and focused campaigns
  • Utilize our proprietary Electronic Health Record to plan care for individual patients and maximize impact on the population.
  • State of the art practice setting designed for a team-based practice model
  • Our practices offer smaller panel sizes and the opportunity to lead while working with a true team.
  • Lead systemic change by building relationships with outside medical consultants to market the practice model to new patients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics required.
  • Currently licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Washington. 
  • The ability to build successful relationships with team members and communicate effectively both 1-on-1 and in groups.
