Market Operations Analyst Role

The Population Health Analyst (known internally as a High Risk Care Market Operations Analyst (MOA))helps support a complex clinical operation providing value based primary care services to patients on Medicare. Reporting to the Senior Manger, High Risk Care and working closely with High Risk Care Team leadership and care teams, the MOA successfully leads the High Risk Care Teams in all markets through various strategic projects relying heavily on their data analytic skills. The Analyst will be responsible for strategic projects, data analytics and practice support. The MOA will be part of a team that manages the entire cycle of new team development, launch, and ongoing support, and will work in close partnership with national leadership, regional leadership team, and practice teams to execute on strategic priorities. This position is based in Denver, CO or AZ and requires working across timezones, and may involve travel.

Specific Responsibilities

The Market Operations Analyst plays a key role in the success of Iora Health and requires an individual excited to apply energy across a range of practice implementation and support areas, including but not limited to:

Strategic Projects (50% of time)

  • Owns strategic projects of priority to the high risk care program (i.e. patient growth and retention)
  • Sets scope of projects and metrics for success in partnership with Medical Director and Senior Manager, High Risk Care Team
  • Builds project plan around key initiatives and provides ongoing project management
  • Manages projects to ensure they are completely timely, within budget and metrics are met for success 
  • Executes a strategic role in achieving goals and is leveraged against key priorities for the program
  • Owns and manages projects of strategic importance to market goals i.e.:
    • Building and managing reports to manage key programmatic priorities
    • Delegation requirements
    • Delegation audits and compliance
    • Launching new teams
    • Tracking outcomes
  • Responsible for some hiring support

Practice Operations Solutions (20%)

  • Proactively proposes hypothesis and solutions to address programmatic gaps
  • Investigates to learn why, using data, interviews with team members, shadowing, etc. 
  • Builds solutions/workflows to solve problems, in partnership with corporate functions and team members
  • Integrates new systems and technology
  • Monitors, audits and documents, ensuring solutions are absorbed
  • Key resource for the high risk care team that has the insight, relationships and the ability to meet the needs of the team

Analytics (20%)

  • Delivers insights from reporting so that local teams have the best information to drive performance
  • Deep dives into internal reporting software to investigate problems and monitors progress against solutions in partnership with corporate functions
  • Conducts ad hoc analyses in Excel, Google Sheets and data platforms (Looker) to inform decision making
  • Communicates insights from data clearly and concisely to leadership via presentations or documents

 Practice Support/Logistics (10%)

  • Aligns local support for in practice patient events
  • Acts as point of contact for vendors
  • Coordinates and tracks supply ordering for new and existing markets

A successful candidate will have the following skills: 

  • Ability to communicate (voice and written, 1-on-1 and group settings)
  • Ability to form strong trust-based relationships with people in a variety of different roles and levels
  • Analytical thinking/creative problem solving
  • Data analysis via spreadsheets and Looker or other analytical tools
  • Project Management skills (create plan, leading and managing others)
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Excellent problem solver, able to focus on both the smaller task and the bigger picture
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment independently and willing to share your opinion with colleagues and executives
  • Service oriented
  • Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and rapid change
  • This is a remote role but requires a willingness to travel up to 25% and willingness to work in medical practices within market as needed to meet with the team
