Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Revenue Accountant (known internally as a Revenue Accounting, Sr Analyst) will assist with the monthly general ledger close process, primarily focused on revenue recognition, including ensuring the completeness of transactions, performing analytical review of results and researching variances. They will be directly assisting the Accounting team in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deliverables and assist with special projects. Success in this role requires an analytical mindset, self-direction and a strong work ethic. Key Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Development, Operations, and Legal on contract review to determine revenue impact and comply with the Company’s revenue recognition policy.
  • Perform month-end close tasks such as preparation and processing of journal entries, perform revenue  flux analyses and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations 
  • Perform analytical review of financial results and understand factors driving changes in revenue related accounts
  • Support the annual audit process, including preparation of the revenue and accounts receivable support schedules and disclosures
  • Work with the Manager of Accounting to support technical accounting projects on an as-needed basis
  • Build and maintain working relationships with operation teams  and provide them with subject matter expertise
  • Continuously look for opportunities to generate efficiencies and increase the effectiveness of financial operations

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue accounting pronouncements (ASC 606)
  • Working knowledge of SOX control programs and process level controls for revenue cycle.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) as well as experience with other financial systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, including in a remote work environment 
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet tight reporting deadlines while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Prior healthcare and/or medical insurance experience is a plus
