Overview of the role

As Compliance and Monitoring officer, you will be responsible for reporting, monitoring and implementing policies that ensure that the Firm is meeting its regulatory requirements.You should be diligent with a keen attention to detail and a track record of seeing tasks/projects through to conclusion. The ideal candidate should have experience working in monitoring, have experience working at an exchange and/or brokerage.

Responsibilities

Assist with quarterly and yearly FCA returns/ad hoc filings

Complete regular compliance monitoring engagements in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Program

Produce high quality monitoring reports

Review compliance monitoring processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency

Assist in the production of management information

Assist in updating the compliance risk assessment

Undertake ad hoc compliance work as required

Assist with production of the annual platform assessment

Assist with member onboarding and periodic reviews

Assist with compliance training

Conduct annual policy reviews - ensuring compliance and remediation where required

Maintaining incidents log, complaints and other compliance registers

Partner with other second line colleagues, including operational risk

Requirements

A degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience

4-6 years of compliance monitoring experience

Good understanding of of UK/EU regulatory regimes

Exposure to, or knowledge of the UK CASS Rules

Ideally from a trading venue or brokerage background

Cryptocurrency or fintech experience desirable

Experience working in a start-up environment a bonus

Technical background a major plus
