As Director, Regional Operations (Global), you will report to the Head of Regional Operations and have responsibility for overseeing the global deployment of Kraken’s regional operating infrastructure and the commercial expansion of our operating theaters. You will play a critical role on a team that is core to Kraken’s global operating effectiveness. You will be expected to operate effectively in a highly cross-functional context, working directly with nearly every team and department in the company. Responsibilities
Define and own Kraken’s global operations strategy, enabling Kraken to drive growth and a market leading position. Work with regional Managing Directors and global Heads of Function to design and execute enterprise initiatives that advance Kraken’s corporate, regulatory, and regional market strategies.Manage the Regional Operations (Global) team to implement multi-jurisdiction operations projects.Coordinate the launch of new products in alignment with Kraken’s global operations model. Monitor and address emerging business, regulatory and technology risks to Kraken’s global operations model.Support the Head of Regional Operations to drive business decision-making in new market initiatives, with P&L management input as appropriate. Cultivate cross-functional operations best practices across regions, and develop the corporate resources, processes, and standards to implement them.Cultivate opportunities to leverage cross-jurisdictional licensing, financial, and partnership synergies to offer more Kraken products and services globally.Lead special projects impacting operations across multiple jurisdictions.Requirements
8+ years experience in a top management consulting, advisory services firm, or holding the Head of Operations position at a fintech or financial institution.Strong, demonstrated interest in, and knowledge of, crypto assets and blockchain technologies. Proven experience in business process change management in the financial services or technology industries.Strong command of global financial products and regulatory compliance, including general frameworks for AML, capital markets, and cryptoasset regimes. Analytical expertise and data-driven decisioning skills, mastery of financial models, projections, etc.Technical background in, or knowledge of, software/internet products & services, particularly in a product development context.Excellent organizational and workload management skills, especially with respect to prioritization and proactive verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Excellent presentation skills, including ability to coach reports in visual presentation deliverables.Creativity, adaptability, tenacity, a sense of urgency and hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic.Strong contextualization and second-order thinking ability.Preferred Experience
