Kraken is looking for a Director of Investor Relations who will be a key member of the finance leadership team. This role will be tasked with building out a world-class investor relations program. As an excellent communicator, this role will be a thought leader in shaping Kraken’s investor messaging and in establishing the financial narrative externally. This is a highly visible role and will partner closely with executive leadership, finance, legal, marketing, communications and other groups across Kraken.
What you will do:
Lead the development of a robust investor relations strategy and framework for KrakenBe as spokesperson of Kraken within the investor community and engage with investors and the sell-sideClearly articulate Kraken’s strategy, progress against KPIs, and financial performance to the investor community, thereby providing investors with accurate, useful, and relevant information about KrakenCollect and communicate feedback from the investor community to Kraken’s Leadership and BoardPartner with Marketing, Communications, and other teams in the development of all external messaging relating to company strategy, earnings announcements, and any other eventsWork with Product, Engineering, and Strategy to understand & articulate our product strategy, feature enhancements, and technologyOwn Kraken’s IR calendar, including investor days/roadshows, investor conferences, and one-on-one meetingsPrepare and maintain accurate consensus models, valuation analysis, and other materials as neededLead regular meetings with the investment community to discuss key topicsMonitor and report on industry and peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, earnings calls and other relevant resourcesWho you are:
10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investor relations, investment banking, management consulting, equity researchExperience interacting with the investment community, including buy- and sell-side analysts, key shareholders, financial media, and potential shareholdersDeep understanding of financial modeling, valuation, investing, and investment management landscape - particularly within the financial services, fintech, & consumer tech 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investor relations, investment banking, management consulting, equity researchExperience interacting with the investment community, including buy- and sell-side analysts, key shareholders, financial media, and potential shareholdersDeep understanding of financial modeling, valuation, investing, and investment management landscape - particularly within the financial services, fintech, & consumer tech industries.Track record of successfully building teams and processes from the ground upHighly persuasive communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships internally and externally with numerous constituencies, including senior executives, analysts, and investorsEffective networking skills and strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholdersPossess a strong network of investment community relationships, including investors, analysts, rating agencies, and financial mediaWillingness to travel up to 30% of the time to attend investment conferences, investor meetings, and relevant meetings (post-COVID)Experience working at a fast-growing technology company or in the financial services industry
