About the Role

The Manager of Technical Project Management is responsible for continuing to build and lead the team that supports Engineering operations and execution. This leader has a proven track record of driving highly performant project management operations including the creation of project roadmaps, timelines, and milestones and empowering the team to deliver consistent communication to the business on project status and deliverables. 

The ideal candidate for this position should have exceptional organization management skills, have the ability to level up their team in knowledge, expectations and standards, and should thrive working in a very fast paced environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of scrum masters, project managers, and project coordinators to provide necessary operational support and coverage to all cross-functional and interdisciplinary working groups. 
  • Setting standards and expectations of knowledge and excellence among the team members to encourage growth and development opportunities. 
  • Improving overall team and company performance by championing agile productivity methodologies and best practices.
  • Building relationships with all key stakeholders to inform the TechPM Team’s own roadmap of improvements and help navigate project prioritization changes as they arise
  • Maintaining and building team growth by anticipating areas requiring coverage.
  • Developing relevant reporting visibility for the right audience through dashboards and reporting, ensuring tight alignment with company OKRs. 

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years experience working as a Technical Project Manager or a similar role in a technology company, including 5+ years experience building and managing teams. 
  • Expertise with Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies; certifications preferred and an advantage - PMP, ITIL, CSM, or equivalent. 
  • Expert understanding of the secure SDLC process and strong ability to customize the Agile project management methodology to fit the needs of Kraken’s software development teams 
  • Exemplary management, communication, and collaboration skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to simplify informational complexity, delivering relevant information to the right stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of well-run processes and common pitfalls including experience building, transforming, and launching process improvements. 
  • Must be flexible, team-oriented, and committed to having a good time while doing a great job
