About the Role
The mission of the Finance product and strategy team at Kraken is to help make sure the company can maintain complete awareness and control of financial assets on the platform. As a global business with multiple product lines, Kraken has diverse set of operations and reporting needs. This product domain works closely with our data, accounting, tax, treasuring, and other finance teams. The team typically focuses on process automation, internal tooling efficiencies instead of direct customer experiences, but the roadmap has a significant impact in Kraken’s ability to expand and operate at scale, and deliver a world class experience to clients expecting the best.
Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate requirements for new and existing back office Finance and Tax products or featuresCoordinate with cross-functional and global teams to serve the betterment of clients, internal teams, and company objectivesClearly document and drive group alignment around product features to enable efficient roadmap executionArticulate metrics, requirements, goals, and features to all relevant internal and external stakeholdersOversee the end-to-end implementation of assigned initiativesStay on top of regulatory developments, industry trends and internal initiatives to drive better decisionsRequirements
1-2+ years as a project manager, product owner or product manager1-2+ years in a finance or fintech related roleA strong analytical and metrics driven approach to create substantiated solutions, including familiarity with SQL, sheets and data visualization toolsAbility to define and track to OKR’s, KPI’s and other key business metricsAbility to Prioritize work to efficiently deliver value to stakeholdersSuperb organization skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdaptability in an agile, fast-paced environmentAbility to execute independently and work with team members of all levelsA mindset to deliver results proactively, resourcefully and methodicallyMacro-to-micro versatility: strategic mindset coupled with a keen attention to detailWell-rounded interpersonal skills, and experience interacting with diverse personalitiesOutstanding organization skills of JIRA, Confluence, Product and Project Documentation with a focus on ensuring systems/applications are auditableDeep understanding of Product management principles and best practices that focus on solving client needs first, using sustainable efficient solutions, and keeping strong awareness and ownership of the impact on key business objectives.Highly Desirable
