About the Role
 
This role is remote and can be based in North America and Europe


Cryptowatch’s QA is responsible for quality control across Cryptowatch's client-facing products. This role works with all disciplines to develop comprehensive testing plans for product development, use those plans to test products through the development cycle and manage critical process checks to validate and document successful releases. The candidate should be a reliable independent lead that can collaborate with managers, designers and engineers to help hit their release aims.

Responsibilities:

  • Test new product features and bug fixes in the functional areas such as:
  • Account setup
  • Financial management operations
  • Various user interfaces
  • Widgets
  • Perform validation and exploratory development test coverage necessary to ensure the operation and correctness of new product features as well as overall system behavior (i.e. regression testing)
  • Plan and execute test cases based on input from product managers and developers
  • Execute various phase of functional and nonfunctional testing to certify the quality of new software releases
  • Log, track, and assign bugs in a bug database, and follow up to ensure that issues are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner
  • Ensure documentation and full traceback of any issue
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to further build out/improve QA pipeline

    • Requirements:

  • At least 4 years experience in quality assurance
  • Comprehensive understanding of QA processes and have experience with agile/scrum practices
  • Strong quality sense and experience working closely with mobile development teams on native mobile applications
  • Able to create and execute test plans and test cases to verify new and existing (regression) software functionality
  • Self-motivated with strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and engineers

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks/tools 
  • Trading and/or financial industry experience
  • Interest and knowledge in the crypto industry
  • Self-drive to improve the app experience above and beyond what’s outlined in the spec
  • Familiarity with bug reporting systems like Jira
  • Familiarity with test case management software like TestRail
