About the Role
 
At Kraken we’re obsessed with our customers and the quality of the client services we provide. As a Senior Product Manager for Client Services at Kraken, you will be driving the development of a next generation of reliable, secure, and compliant platform that is at the core of client experiences we provide as we scale our operations 10x.

In close collaboration with other PMs in the group, you will shape strategic thinking in the area of client services by defining OKRs, identifying key opportunities to accomplish objectives, and managing the initiatives roadmap. In this position, you take on the lead role and will work across client services product teams pairing with the engineering leads across the group and rest of the product development organization.
 
About the team

The client services Product Management team, working with client services product teams, drives the product strategy for the technology that enables everyone around Kraken organization to get the job done in the most productive and efficient way, most prominently supporting our 1,200 strong client engagement team, account management team, as well as compliance, fraud, finance and other critical business functions. Furthermore, our team plays a critical role in supporting key product releases and making sure we provide operational teams with tools to scale these products efficiently.

Kraken organization is growing at a fast pace, and so does our internal platform needs. We are looking for a product leader with a strategic vision and proven record of successfully getting products to the market. This leader will build a strategy focused on growing scale and usage for existing internal users at the same time as creating new features to support efficient organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic direction of your product, making sure value is being delivered to the business and customers
  • Drive a product roadmap and set goals and key success metrics
  • Completely own your team's products from ideation to launch, growth, and iteration
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and engineers on a daily basis
  • Work in a hands-on way with the team to manage the end-to-end process, from discovery to delivery, synthesize results and reports
  • Foster a continuous discovery, learning and improvement ethos at all times to inform product decisions by qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, Client Engagement teams, and UX researchers to prioritize  and balance short-term priorities and longer-term strategic needs
  • Work with engineering on execution to make sure we are delivering products and services that are fast, efficient and dependable for our internal customers
  • Contribute to an inclusive PM culture that shares user insights, learnings, and research findings early, often, and well

  • Example projects
  • Launch an in-house built CRM and unified communications platform
  • Launch a two-sided marketplace management experiences
  • Launch a case management system for KYC/funding/fraud workflows
  • Roll-out support for the new ‘crypto product’ on the internal platform 
  • Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience - ie. product management or equivalent experience in which you have shipped products with demonstrable impact on organizational productivity and efficiency - from idealization to launch
  • A customer-centric product leader that can define product vision and strategy for their domain and communicate the rationale behind the product decisions to the engineering team and stakeholders
  • Experience in working in agile companies with cross-functional teams of Frontend and Backend developers, QA specialists and designers
  • Experience in managing and collaborating with stakeholders with diverse mindsets for strategy building and prioritization, with a methodical, data-informed approach to identifying and addressing problems
  • Good understanding of the technical aspects of products and services
  • A strong growth mindset and a servant leadership approach to product management, ability to lead via influence
