About the role:

The Settlements Specialist is a key contributor to the success of Kraken’s Treasury and global Finance team. This highly visible role will require dynamic interactions with Kraken teams OTC trading desk, Gateway Operations, Account Managers/CE. and Finance providing active solutions to optimize the firm's liquidity, cash management, funding needs.

Please note that weekend work is required 1-2 times per month for this role.

What you'll do:

  • Facilitate treasury and cash management functions including but not limited to rebalancing of fiat and crypto accounts, interest calculations, bank fee validations, and funding decisions  
  • Manage end to end OTC settlement requests, efficiently processing payables and receivables via bank wire and crypto transactions
  • Coordinate with global team members to analyze balances trends, monitor thresholds, and execute payments to rebalance operating and custodial assets
  • Research and resolution of financial and non-financial inquiries received via internal/external messaging systems
  • Produce analytics to support transaction activity, trends, and recommendations
  • Maintain productive working relationships with our banking partners, operations teams, product, management, dev ops, and other stakeholders
  • Who you are:

  • 2-5 years experience in a payments, trading, settlement and or finance operations related role
  • Ability to work fully remote supporting the EMEA time zone
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a transactional environment requiring urgency an vigilance
  • Demonstrates the highest level analytical and data management skills
  • Database knowledge and understanding account based systems and processes
  • Intermediate understanding of Bitcoin and digital assets infrastructure and markets     
  • Minimum intermediate skill level in Excel/Google Sheets  
  • Knowledge of SQL queries and database structure is a big plus
  • Security and privacy focused
  • English communication skills (other languages a plus)
