What You'll Do:

LogicMonitor is disrupting the observability market and changing the way businesses take disparate sources of data and turn it into action. We are already a leader in this space - and we started by solving the hardest, most complicated problem first. With roots in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring space, we are on an evolutionary journey heading toward what’s next - unified observability. Our platform enables enterprise resiliency through data insights from the infrastructure, network, and application. As we enter this next phase of growth, we are in search of an Observability Training Engineer to bring their passion of sharing knowledge to LogicMonitor.

As Observability Training Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with product leaders, subject matter experts, and customer success to build and deliver training to LogicMonitor customers around the world. Your activities will focus on helping our customers learn and apply new skills to improve self-sufficiency, accelerate adoption of products, and drive successful outcomes with LogicMonitor. 

You will have high visibility in the growing Customer Education department at LogicMonitor, as you evangelize the principles of observability (o11y) and lead training programs for our customers, external partners and internal teams. 

With your track record of knowledge sharing in a technical role and expertise in a wide array of domains from observability products including logs and APM, to cloud hosting services platforms to languages such as Java, Python and Groovy; you will make your mark at LogicMonitor. Simply put, you know how to take complex information and simplify the communication to help our customers accelerate maximum results.  

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Teach advanced technical curriculum in live and virtual instructor-led training
  • Build and maintain lab infrastructure and contribute to training content to facilitate remote and onsite customer training workshops
  • Serve as key subject matter expert (SME) to guide Customer Education curriculum development team on content and observability training strategies  
  • Design and document realistic scenarios, use-cases and hypothetical business stories that technical trainers can use to demonstrate various product features
  • Record learning content (on and off camera) for use in eLearning curriculum
  • Manage and maintain the training team's AWS environment, including automation, monitoring of resource usage
  • Provide technical and industry expertise and guidance for training workshops, events and webinars
  • While travel is limited due to COVID-19, once customer return to office increases, this position may require up to 50% travel. 
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of technical knowledge sharing role with experience preferably as a technical trainer or sales engineer
  • 3+ years of development experience with one or more of the following: Java, Groovy, or Python
  • Demonstrated experience within the observability domain (i.e. Traces, Metrics, and Logs) in a diverse technology eco-system (i.e. multiple application languages, and cloud environments).
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Qualified candidate must have excellent oral presentation and customer interaction skills
  • Knowledge of/ experience working with APIs.
  • Ability to identify actionable metrics and formulate strategies to collect and represent those metrics.
  • Understanding of full datacenter stack and role played by each piece (network, storage, computers, servers, etc.).
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in a technical or related field is required.
