About LogicMonitor

Using LogicMonitor, ITOps teams benefit from a unified view of infrastructure across public clouds, data centers and on-premises to avoid outages and and shrink the time needed to resolve issues to minutes (from hours or days). Because LogicMonitor is agentless, automated and cloud-based, users can successfully deploy monitoring 3-4x faster than competitors' offerings. The combination of thousands of pre-built technology integrations covering the entire IT technology stack and the ability to extend monitoring to new data sources means that the LogicMonitor platform allows customers to monitor virtually anything, anywhere.

What You'll Do:
  • Understand LogicMonitor's strategy for content management and collaborate with the team to ensure a consistent look, style, voice, tone, message, and brand across all product content.
  • Research and write technical documentation to explain complex concepts, use cases, and feature function in a clear and concise manner for a highly technical audience that includes software developers, operations engineers, and network and system administrators.
  • Participate in the release process as a part of the cross functional team and provide accurate and timely project reporting on all content activities.
  • Research and write release notes for new platform versions, which are pushed to customers in three-week sprint cycles.
  • Edit documentation for consistency, clarity, brevity, accuracy, and readability—across digital and print media.
  • Continually measure reader engagement with content, and iterate to improve content definition, craft, and distribution.
  • Recognize opportunities for process improvement and work with the team to implement them.
What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of 6 years experience in a technical writing role.
  • Experience crafting and delivering clear, accurate documentation targeted at developers or infrastructure and operations engineering teams.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably with both onsite and remote team members working across the world.
  • Experience using Git as a version management tool, including working with branches, creating pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
  • Familiarity with the Enterprise IT monitoring industry, products, and personas (such as the IT Director, System Administrator, DevOps engineer, network engineer, and so on).
  • Experience with event, operations, or service management solutions (such as ServiceNow, BMC, Ivanti, and so on).

Nice to have:

  • Experience using WordPress, Google Suite, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience using and detailing application management or monitoring products.
  • Experience with troubleshooting application code behavior.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and streaming message systems.
