What You'll Do:

LogicMonitor is disrupting the observability market and changing the way businesses take disparate sources of data and turn it into action. We are already a leader in this space - and we started by solving the hardest, most complicated problem first. With roots in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring space, we are on an evolutionary journey heading toward what’s next - unified observability. Our platform enables enterprise resiliency through data insights from the infrastructure, network, and application. As we enter this next phase of growth, we are in search of a Solutions Engineer. 

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for working with pre-sales and post-sales teams to scope, design and deploy technical solutions and implementations for LogicMonitor's customers.  The Solutions Engineer works as a member of the PS team, interfacing directly with LogicMonitor customers while working closely with internal Customer Success, Support, and Sales teams. The Solutions Engineer is a product expert that creatively solves business problems with LogicMonitor's best-in-class IT monitoring platform, impacting the company's largest, most strategic customers.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Regularly interact with LogicMonitor prospects and customers to scope custom implementations, integrations and solutions
  • Assess feasibility and approach for monitoring use cases and integration opportunities
  • Clearly articulate the impact, value and effort of technical proposals to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Explore and research new technologies to integrate and monitor with LogicMonitor
  • Build estimates for services proposals, including hours effort, timeframe and pricing while working with Sales and CS to develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Work collaboratively with the Solutions Architecture team to peer review services proposals
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Management and Solutions Engineering teams to guide post-sales services delivery, aligning project team to SOW deliverables, scope of engagement, and technical escalations (where necessary)
  • Regularly stay informed on product updates and consult other SAs on services approach for new LogicMonitor platform features and enhancements
  • Deliver implementations or custom-scoped technical solutions to LogicMonitor customers with excellence
  • Join the PS Project Manager and Customer Success Manager in kicking off PS engagements through delivery & handoff to CS.
  • Facilitate remote and onsite working sessions with customers to drive successful LogicMonitor adoption - through discovery, design, and deployment of the monitoring solution.
  • Leverage the REST API and scripting to automate routine, bulk tasks.
  • Develop customer-specific, scripted solutions using LogicMonitor product features (Websites, LogicModules, NetScans) and externally using the REST API.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for LogicMonitor to peers and customers.
What You'll Need:
  • 3-4 years experience working as an IT professional or software engineer.
  • 2+ years experience in IT operations: systems administration, network engineering, DevOps, etc.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more IT operations domain(s): Windows/Linux server, networking, security, storage, virtualization or cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Familiarity with HTTP, JSON, RegEx, REST APIs.
  • 1+ years experience scripting/programming experience in or more language(s): Python, PowerShell, or Java/Groovy.
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%).
  • Experience in a customer-facing, Professional Services, consulting, or Sales Engineering role
