What You'll Do:

LogicMonitor is disrupting the observability market and changing the way businesses take disparate sources of data and turn it into action. We are already a leader in this space - and we started by solving the hardest, most complicated problem first. With roots in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring space, we are on an evolutionary journey heading toward what’s next - unified observability. Our platform enables enterprise resiliency through data insights from the infrastructure, network, and application. As we enter this next phase of growth, we are in search of a Sr. Technical Writer - UX.

As a technical writer at LogicMonitor you'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating daily with software engineers, product managers, other technical writers, and UX designers. In our Agile environment, you will be continuously updating your content with improvements and new features. Make your mark by being a confident writer of enterprise software documentation and being passionate about learning new concepts, testing end-to-end procedures yourself, and clearly explaining sophisticated technologies.

Are you looking to combine your writing skills with your love of learning new technologies? Are you as comfortable with exploring the technical capabilities of a SaaS platform as you are writing clear and effective prose? If so, we'd love to talk to you.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Understand LogicMonitor's strategy for content management and collaborate with the team to ensure a consistent look, style, voice, tone, message, and brand across all product content.
  • Research and write technical documentation to explain complex concepts, use cases, and feature function in a clear and concise manner for a highly technical audience that includes software developers, operations engineers, and network and system administrators.
  • Participate in the release process as a part of the cross functional team and provide accurate and timely project reporting on all content activities.
  • Research and write release notes for new platform versions, which are pushed to customers in three-week sprint cycles.
  • Edit documentation for consistency, clarity, brevity, accuracy, and readability—across digital and print media.
  • Continually measure reader engagement with content, and iterate to improve content definition, craft, and distribution.
  • Recognize opportunities for process improvement and work with the team to implement them.
What You'll Need:
  • BA or BS preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or Marketing a plus)
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in a technical writing role.
  • Experience crafting and delivering clear, accurate documentation targeted at developers or infrastructure and operations engineering teams.
  • Previous experience self-managing documentation projects that require contributions and feedback from other functional groups.
  • Previous experience writing documentation for SaaS products or enterprise products deployed to the Cloud.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably with both onsite and remote team members working across the world.
  • Familiarity with the Enterprise IT monitoring industry, products, and personas (such as the IT Director, System Administrator, DevOps engineer, network engineer, and so on).
  • Experience with event, operations, or service management solutions (such as ServiceNow, BMC, Ivanti, and so on).
  • Experience using WordPress, Google Suite, JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
  • Experience using and detailing application management or monitoring products is nice to have.
  • Experience using Git as a version management tool, including working with branches, creating pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts is a plus.
