The role in a nutshell

We’re looking for someone exceptional, who will be responsible for maintaining our forecast and planning systems and assisting with the forecasting and planning process.

We use the best tools: we are just implementing Anaplan to automate much of the repetitive reconciliation work you will find in other Excel based planning roles.

Your mission will involve

Maintaining Anaplan data - update of financial and non-financial data from source systems and help migrate this process to be driven by APIs.
Maintaining finance processes housed within Anaplan to ensure the best experience for end users.
Helping to build out Anaplan functionality, e.g. balance sheet, customer acquisition cost.
Running planning cycles: agree and communicate timelines, and manage stakeholders to ensure inputs are delivered on time.
Helping with headcount, costs and revenue forecasting to ensure teams have clarity on their budgets.
Reviewing and ensuring completeness of financial forecasts.
Knowing and understanding the budget drivers and being able to respond to any budget related queries.
Reviewing variances in financial actuals to challenge and improve planning assumptions.
In time, taking ownership of the Anaplan model architecture.

In your first six months, you will

Learn the workings of, and understand how we use our new forecasting tool, Anaplan.
Maintain and update financial and non-financial data from source systems into Anaplan.
Integrate yourself into the team and learn our ways of working.

The ideal Lunaut for this role, will have

A bright, analytical mindset.
The attention to detail of a hawk.
Accountancy Qualification (0-3 years post qualified experience).
Financial modelling experience.
Experience building in Anaplan OR excellent Excel skills and a willingness to learn how to use Anaplan.
Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience.
Strong communication with the ability to engage with a variety of people across the business at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

Excel in Excel.
Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience.
Exposure to existing Luno systems (Sage X3, Anaplan, Looker, Kissflow).
