In this role you will:

  • Help build the Luno brand and engage audiences through storytelling, primarily in the social space. In order to develop & lead Luno’s brand engagement strategy you will need to both deeply understand and empathise with the new-to-crypto audience and continuously ideate and propose ways to solve customer tensions, bring our mission to life and drive adoption. Brand engagement is channel agnostic, but the strategic priority is social. Traditional media is driving an outdated and often misinformed narrative around crypto… social is how we take control and change that narrative. As team lead you will help develop and roll out the strategy that will shape a new and positive narrative around what crypto can be for the general public.
  • Day to day, you will ideate new brand content and drive delivery by aligning teams around your concepts, and resourcing whatever copy, content, design or production work is needed to make your ideas come to life. As we are still growing our marketing design team you’ll need to be willing and able to often step in to get things done yourself!
  • Inspire and lead a team of digital content creators, and grow it to meet the needs of our brand marketing ambitions. Create and sustain a culture of creative excellence, collaboration and business impact by mentoring in best practices, the art of storytelling, project management, strategic clarity, and effective process. Balance creative vision with performance metrics and business goals. Plan and manage the team’s creative & production budgets, both in-house and with external providers.
  • Help audiences go on a learning journey in order to understand and “buy into” the future of money. This will mean storytelling the financial empowerment of customers and communities through crypto and build out our approach to video content storytelling and influencer marketing, including defining production & talent management processes (in-house or external), leading commercials, partnering  with the Growth fleet on reporting & efficiency, and partnering with PR & local marketing to understand influencer opportunities and leverage them with cultural sensitivity.

 

The ideal Lunaut will:

  • Be a stellar creative project leader who sees opportunities where other people see chaos and who encourages collaborative work environments while not hesitating to own, define, and deliver on complex and ambiguous tasks, projects. 
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and use them to effectively brief, specify and coordinate complex projects. Copywriting skill is a significant plus.
  • Enjoy and have experience partnering with colleagues and providers across the world, across language barriers, spec conventions and time zones.
  • Have previously developed or improved creative processes at scale, and understand why a good process design is both a powerful and beautiful thing.
  • Have a strong marketing and growth acumen and appetite to help build a leading brand in a fast paced, global facing environment.
  • Have a relentless focus on new customers and solving for their fears and triggers, experience working with data & insights.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience across social strategy, brand strategy, creative production and/or influencer marketing
