The Graphic Designer plays an essential role in growing talent in our business through collaboration and sharing best practices with the Graphic Design team. You know how to be curious about their opportunities and how to be real with feedback and support.

The Graphic Designer works collaboratively with the Brand Team to develop design and execute graphic concepts that meet the business objectives and advance our brand strategy.  They are responsible for the graphic design for both internal and external assets across print and digital platforms including production of all final artwork.

Reporting to the Creative Manager, the Graphic Designer undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create production art files for print and digital (product labels, gift assets, retail sundries, in-store signage and more) in English, French and Spanish.
  • Adjust type and image cropping as necessary, ensuring integrity of original art files
  • Producing or recreating illustrations, logos, and similar items in vector or raster-based programs
  • Conceptualize and present creative content ideas for upcoming marketing campaigns
  • Copy and content insertion, file manipulation, pre-flight formatting, checking files and uploading clean files to print
  • Archive and update graphic files
  • Adhere to Lush style guide and brand standards
  • Quality check work to ensure that files are produced correctly and accurately
  • Adhere to production schedules or dates provided.
  • Support the Creative team as required to ensure all work is complete as required.

 

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within an agency/creative team/in-house team
  • High level of proficiency with the following: Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • A solid knowledge of printing processes, proper file creation, keen attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional typographic layout skills, specialized knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design, colour theory and layout, and high-level execution
  • Proven experience in preparing and troubleshooting final files with a good problem-solving ability and a proactive approach
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
  • Passion for product and an eye for quality.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.

Preferred:

  • Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, New Media or related field
  • Related experience in a retail environment would be a major asset
  • Experience working in a cosmetics/beauty work environment
